On Saturday Susan and I went to see Wicked, its a musical based on the book by the same name. The story focusses on the witches of the Wizard of Oz. In this case the Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba) and Glinda the Good Witch, it explains exactly why Elphaba is mean and that Glinda and Elphaba were once actually friends back at University.
Now I've not read the book but luckily Susan has and according to her infinite wisdom I was able to establish that the musical was very very loosely based on said book. They appear to have made it far less sexually explicit and re-arranged parts to suit a musical.
Overall though it was enjoyable, we were a little far from the stage which made it hard to see some of the miniscule details.
Also went to see the Blue Man group in December which was far more enjoyable though I've forgotten a fair amount of the details.
